Trinity Church - Rowland Flat
In 1867 the Trinity Church congregation was formed by people in the Rowland Flat and the earlier Hoffungnstahl congregation.
Whilst the church was being built the congregation is said to have worshipped in a slate roofed hut owned by JFW Koch.
This hut can still be viewed just 200m west of the church today.
Construction of the new church was completed in 1867.
This church was used for 88 years.
When plans for renovations of the church were discussed and proved ‘impractical’ they decided that an entirely new church would be built on the same site.
The old building was demolished in 1955 and the new church was finished in 1956.
A bell was kindly donated by some families of the congregation that is still used to this day.
