St. John's Church - Ebenezer

The earliest services for this congregation on record were in private homes until services were moved to the newly built school building in 1858.

It was in 1859 that the first ebenezer church was built.

The building was used for 46 years until 1905 when it was decided that a new church was necessary for the expanding congregation.

The new church was built and dedicated in 1905.

A small pipe organ was built in 1875 by Daniel Lamke and is still used to this day.

A life size painting of the crucifixion is hung on the wall behind the altar for the whole congregation to view.
